If you work in construction or are thinking about going into the profession, you more than likely know the importance of safety in the work place. 1. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, there are close to 50,000 crane operators employed in the United States today. Rigging safety training and rigging certification are paramount to keeping the men and women who operate these cranes and those around them safe from injury.

They are lightweight and flexible with a wide bearing surface which are specifically designed to protect the construction load.
3. Steel bushing chain, which is often used in the constructions industry, are also used in other industries. Steel brushing chains have been used on bicycles, they were used in early automobiles to assist in rear wheel drive engines, and possibly most famously, the Wright brothers used one to drive the propeller in their first airplane in 1903.
4. Wire rope, which is also used in construction and crane operation is made of several strands of metal wire, usually steel, that is twisted into a helix shape.
5. The use of rope in order to help with tasks has been around for tens of thousands of years. Fossilized fragments of rope have been found in one of the caves at Lascaux and are have been dated to approximately 15,000 BCE.
Regardless of your profession, knowing a little more about the lengths to which construction companies go to keep their employees safe can give you peace of mind.
